Guardian Guild developer Immutable today revealed the upcoming release of Frostmire, a latest expansion that will immerse players in a snowy environment and introduce two Legendary Guardians.
Constant said that the expansion will be released on October 16. Frostmire is GOG’s biggest update since its launch and will introduce brand latest gameplay elements and level expansions, raising the maximum Commander level to 120 and unlocking latest high-tier gear that will provide key advantages during battle. This game is a hybrid of free-to-play and Web3 which you can play without spending any money.
Frostmire is a latest location for the GOG faithful to explore, with snow-capped mountains and frozen plains brimming with latest lore and further advancing the game’s major plot as players search for the remaining Places of Power. I played this game and enjoyed it, taking my best characters past level 20. There is great music in the game that forces you to concentrate to the flow of each fight as your team tries to destroy a dungeon full of enemies.
Commanders will lead their Guardians on a pilgrimage to the Source, a place of ancient wisdom in the frozen wastes, discovering the tragic and heroic stories of ancestors connected to one of the latest heroes joining the fight against the Dread.
“We want each GOG expansion to have a narratively engaging story that leaves players wanting to learn more about this world,” Chris Clay, game director of Guild of Guardians, said in a statement. “Frostmire is a rich new location where players can explore, challenge their skills and conquer, while new Guardians will help cement the story and take their commanders with them.”
Guardian Guild Creative Designer Ella Lowgren said in a statement: “We wanted to point out a latest environment that contrasts with the lands that have been explored before, so this time the Commander and his Guardians travel to Stormhold, which rests atop the highest mountain in Frostmire. We used a different color palette for this land than before, and the music also reflects the land in a quirky way. With latest enemies and surprises to be found in Frostmire, we won’t wait for players to examine it out and allow us to know what they think.
The two newest additions to GOG’s lineup – Lisca and Dolvir – will unlock latest gameplay options as players explore the frozen dungeons of the latest setting, providing unique abilities with their companions.
Dolvir, the legendary warrior-style guardian known by many as “Earth’s Fury”, will allow players so as to add a powerful attack-based Guardian to their lineups, with a clear connection to the natural world. The second latest Legendary addition to the solid, Lisca is a prolific hunter who grew up in Frostmire, bringing latest ranged combat options to players’ squads with her witty sense of humor and love of sweet treats.
“We’re excited that players will be able to add new Guardians to their lineups and test the new synergies they bring to the team,” said Clay. “In addition to our new Guardians, players will also unlock new maximum Tier Tiers for their Commanders and have the chance to craft new higher-tier gear, helping to increase the odds in their favor on their next great adventure.”
Frostmire will raise the GOG maximum level for Commanders to level 120, bringing with it latest potential unlocks and additional rewards for exploring the latest frozen tundra. Additionally, the expansion will introduce Tier 7 gear and equipment that could be used to equip Guardians to supply additional gameplay advantages and strengthen players’ teams. The latest gear and maximum level will also unlock additional content for players who have reached the end of the GOG progression system, providing a true expansion for long-time fans.
Frostmire will officially release globally on October 16 and will unlock latest Guardians Lisca and Dolvir, which players can buy or summon through the Altar of Sacrifice.
