With little experience in technology and gaming, Lannert initially joined Jellyvision hoping to learn and contribute. However, her adaptability and problem-solving skills led her to the role of CEO.

One of her key pieces of recommendation for leaders is to appreciate that: “The world is full of change. There is no stability anymore. You might as well do what you love with people you like and respect.”

A key moment in Jellyvision’s transformation was the move from creating games on CD-ROMs to creating interactive educational software. As Lannert explained, the move was driven by a desire to interact and educate users on complex topics resembling health advantages – a space often neglected in terms of user-centered design. Jellyvision’s current flagship product, ALEX, uses engaging, personalized interactions to assist employees understand and select advantages, which may help corporations save significant costs and increase worker satisfaction.

Lannert’s approach to leadership is each refreshing and authentic. It emphasizes the need for transparency and honesty in business dealings. “You can make a bad deal with good people, but you can’t make a good deal with bad people,” she said, emphasizing that she puts character before profit. For aspiring leaders, Lannert suggests focusing on surrounding yourself with individuals who will challenge you and offer real feedback. “Find someone who loves you and will tell you the truth,” he advises.

Ultimately, Lannert emphasizes that the company’s success is based on people. “Jellyvision is simply a company that has been, is and always will be as good as the people we employ,” he says. Creating a culture of openness and creativity is central to her leadership strategy. Lannert encourages other CEOs to embrace change and not settle for mediocrity. Her willingness to adapt, combined with her belief that everybody has room for improvement, sets a strong example for leaders trying to drive growth and innovation in their very own organizations.
