Browser gaming company Arkadium today revealed more information about its titles for 2024. According to the company, it released 18 games in 2024, the most in the company’s history. It also announced the first game to be released under Arkadium for Developers, its third-party publishing program: Dangle Drop, a puzzle title available exclusively on its platform. It also released five other games in the last quarter of the year.
Dangle Drop, developed by Supernapie. is the first game released as a part of the recent Arkadium publishing initiative, which debuted in August. At that point, the company also revealed its $1 million Arkadium Publishing Fund 1, which provides financial support to developers. Other games that appeared on Arkadium in the last quarter of the year include Crosswordling, Word Clash, Mr. Runner X, Swipe City and Mr. Racer.
Dan Butchko, director of developer relations at Arkadium, said in a statement: “We are very proud to end the year successfully with the launch of these great titles and begin third-party game publishing with Dangle Drop. 2024 was a monumental year not only for Arkadium, but for the entire browser gaming industry, and it’s rewarding to be able to share a variety of new and popular games with our community and fans just in time for the holidays. There’s something for everyone!”
The entire year of 2024 was marked by layoffs and unsatisfactory game sales, but Arkadium claims that it is in a position to reveal positive development of its releases and the browser game genre. The company offers developers a 75% share of revenues for the latter. According to Arkadium, in 2025 it plans to proceed cooperation with developers.
