The CEO and founding father of Japanese telecommunications and investment group SoftBank, Masayoshi Son, visited Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday to go to President-elect Donald Trump at the “Winter White House.”

There, The case was first reported by CNBCSon announced a $100 billion investment that is expected to create at least 100,000 U.S. jobs over 4 years, focusing on artificial intelligence and its associated costs.

“Thanks to his victory, my level of confidence in the U.S. economy has increased tremendously,” Son said. “President Trump is a president who is doubling down on his powers. I’ll have to double up.”

Son is a billionaire investor with a net worth of approximately $16.7 billionaccording to Bloomberg. Tokyo-based Softbank’s market capitalization is about $95 billion.

“He’s doing this because he’s been optimistic about our country since the election,” Trump told CNBC. “This historic investment is a monumental statement of confidence in America’s future and will help ensure that artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and other industries of tomorrow are created and developed right here in the U.S..”

In 2016, after Trump’s first election victory, Son’s invested $50 billion in the USA create 50,000 jobs.
