Running two alcohol brands is not exactly a recipe for cool evenings at home watching Netflix. Between the late nights and the abuse Hustle, Joey Angelo, founding father of Sipmargs and Su Casa Mezcal, he has a lot on a plate – and in a cup. “I hate burnout,” says Joey. “But I’m afraid of it.”
Angelo joined the latest episode Entrepreneur therapy, Presented by Amazon Business, to talk about what maintains him and how to stop these worries from derailing his activity. To help Angelo notice the early signs of workaholism, Dr. Drew introduces a tool that he often uses in patients: detention. “Hungry, angry, lonely, tired,” he explains. Halt is a quick mental check -in, which inspires people to stop and ask whether their stress is rooted in one of 4 common causes.
Dr. Drew indicates that when entrepreneurs press too long for too long, their relationship is often the first victim. “Nobody suffers more than our spouse and our children,” says Angelo, encouraging him to make a place to rest and mix before burn out.
Perell adds that burning often creeps when the borders begin to blur. He indicates that the founders do not have a season out of season, as athletes do, so it is necessary to protect your personal life. Perrel works in his schedule at this time. “Really knowing what time I am and which I am turned off, and I block it like a meeting.” For entrepreneurs, similar to Angelo, whose work often connects to his social life, the balance between skilled and private life might be saving mental health.
Angelo also expresses concern on how to say a word. His brands achieve good results, but with limited resources he is fearful that he does not reach enough people. “I need a megaphone,” he says. “How do I convey a message with limited budgets, not a lot of marketing, PR or social?”
Perell encourages him to focus on what he already has: satisfied customers. “They love this product. That’s why they still lead home the authenticity of your customers in creating this community, it will drive the virus you are looking for,” he says. “Everyone thinks:” Oh, I have to get a great influence. ” But at the end of the day, customers really count and say: “Oh my God, have you tried this amazing Mescal?”
