The best aspect of being a CEO

“For me, the best part of being a CEO is working in an industry you love and with people you love every day. It is an honor to set the direction and vision of the company.”

On your profession path

“I grew up pondering I desired to be an aerospace engineer. I loved it space shuttles and space flight concept. I used to be born in Singapore and grew up in New York. After graduating from highschool, I needed to go back and serve in the Singapore Army. I did this for about three years. I used to be very scared, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in terms of defining who I’m. I then had the opportunity to review industrial engineering at Georgia Tech. Part of this journey helped me realize that I didn’t think specializing was something I desired to do. So I gravitated toward a more general space that allowed me to see more of the world, more corporations and industries, and eventually landed here at Vivid Seats.

About the power of diversity

“My skills as a leader come from my ability to learn, listen, understand and appreciate the diversity of cultures. Singapore is a wonderful, multicultural society with many different people who call it home. This great blend of cultures has helped me define much of who I am today, wherever I have worked, I have had the opportunity to try to build diverse teams and I am extremely proud of that when you look at our leadership team at the C-suite. , we have over 50 percent women in leadership positions, and if you look at the board we have put together at Vivid Seats, we have come out with a largely diverse board.”

About his personal motivation

“The people I have the honor of leading motivate me. You know, that old military saying that every day you go to battle with them. You’ve got to love the soldiers you’re with, and I love the team we’re on.” here I’m and, after all, my family supporting me in the background, I’m motivated by the desire to do a good job for all of them. And ultimately, I really imagine in the mission of Vivid Seats, and which means ensuring everyone can experience and see in person the things they love.”
