Application for sharing photographs with a new function focused on celebrities to drive your growth

MedallionThe application for sharing photos, which allows users to share images with friends, which are then displayed on the major screens as widgets, wants to stay on your radar, and turns to the help of celebrities.

After starting in 2022, Mukeet appeared as a competitor of Bereal, offering a more authentic way of joining with others. The application places the widget on the iPhone’s major screens, which updates the latest photos added by friends. Users can select up to 20 close friends, creating an intimate space for sharing unrefined selfies and updates about their lives.

The application claims that it has over 80 million downloads and over 9 million lively users, and its users have so far available over 10 billion photos. In particular, the company also shared with TechCrunch that it achieved profitability in 2024, which is a significant achievement, taking into account relatively modest efforts related to obtaining funds in the amount of only USD 12.5 million.

To drive additional growth, for six months on Wednesday, the Lopet has quietly testing the “Celebrity Lockets” function, which the application has officially announced on Wednesday.

Celebrity Lockets mainly focuses on music artists, allowing them to get involved with fans, sharing details about upcoming programs, new releases of albums and other news. Lopeta has already tested this function with Waterhouse female dogs AND Jvkewith subsequent artists that will probably be announced soon.

To use this function, celebrities can share a link on their social media platforms or fans can check them in the application to add them, and then they will send photos directly to their fans’ home screens.

“When the posts go straight to the screens of home fans, it offers a kind of immediate and intimacy, which other platforms cannot replicate, turning passive observers into active participants,” said Techcrunch, founding father of Matt Moss.

The laopet allows artists to select many fans with which you’ll connect, from 1000 to 15,000 places. For example, the female dogs have 5,000 fans in the application and the Lopeta has attracted a whole bunch of new members. According to the company, 17% of those 5000 fans were new to Lopeta.

“Fans feel special, knowing that they are one of several thousand, not just another supporter. It also retains the same intimacy and the Medalia brand as a product … We knew that our community used the media to share music with friends, so the ability to make contact with favorite artists is the natural evolution of the platform,” said Moss.

Although Moss claims that the feedback from the testers was good, it is not clear whether this may help in increasing the variety of users. Bereal tried something similar with the “Realpeople” function, but the party was not completely positive, with Some People Saying that they preferred the anti -social media application as a way to escape from celebrities.
