The recent report of the NON -PROFIT ALL RAISE has shown that the percentage of girls and non -unintenant people in partner roles in leading firms has doubled in the last few years, despite the wind on the market. Paige Hendrix Buckner, general director of Raise, talked to Dominic-Madori Davis from Techcrunch about what drives the change in capital this week.
“There are two elements in this,” she said about progress for women. She said that many of them are related to firms that wish to grow to be more efficient and wish to promote the best people in their firms internally. The second part is that firms are aware of the advantages of a more diverse set of voices at the decision table. “One, people slipped to the door, and then number two, people were able to perform,” she continued.
But there is still a lot to do. Compensation for one is still a problem. In addition, megafirms, people managing assets over $ 10 billion, still do not have many women on the highest roles of partners.
“Change takes time,” she said.
Fortunately, it looks like excellent news is on the way.
