Linktree goes dark in India – and the company is not sure why

LinktreeThe popular link-bio service used by thousands and thousands of creators and corporations, has been unavailable in India for several days, and its sudden disappearance from the Indian network stays a mystery, even for the starting of the Australian startup itself.

Over the past week, Linktree has been unavailable in India, and several users raise this problem on X. Initially, TechCrunch noticed that the page briefly displayed a message suggesting that it was blocked by the Indian government. Later, he was replaced by the general error of the SSL protocol. The Linktree application was also not available in this country.
