With lower than three months to go before Election Day, national polls show an extremely close race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. The latest FiveThirtyEightThe poll tracker, which aggregates national and state polls, shows Harris leading narrowly nationally, trailing Trump by 3.3 percentage points at 47% to Trump’s 43.7%.
The state of the economy and its future are top of mind for each Democratic and Republican voters. That’s why we asked the business community who they think is higher for small businesses in surveys posted on X and Instagram.
The results showed a stark contrast to national polls, in which Trump won by wide margins on each platforms. Of the 422 votes solid for X, Trump won with 69.7 percent of the vote. Similarly, on Instagram, of the 389 votes solid, 66 percent were in Trump’s favor.

Neither candidate has yet to unveil a detailed economic plan for small businesses, but they did so during a campaign visit to Pennsylvania this week. Trump told the audience“Our plan will drastically cut taxes, unlock American energy, reduce regulation, a big factor, crack down on trade fraud and stop outsourcing, rebuild our industrial base and bring back those fine words – Made in the USA.”
Harris, who has been criticized for not giving a single major interview since announcing her candidacy, announced proposals for his first 100 days in office, which include guarantees to “cut taxes for the middle class, reduce the cost of groceries, address price gouging, lower the cost of owning and renting a home, further lower the cost of prescription drugs, and ease medical debt for millions of Americans.”
