Open Source data movement company Airby It launches additional connectors to help enterprises to better use their data in the era of artificial intelligence without prejudice to the sovereignty of data.
The startup based in San Francisco announced on Thursday that he releases many new possibilities designed to enable customers to securely transfer corporate data without knocking the SAAS application. New features include support for transmission of unstructured data from applications, resembling Google and SharePoint disk, in addition to compatibility with Apache Iceberg, Open Source format for large analytical tables.
Airbyte also introduces a connectors package for corporate customers, which incorporates data pipelines for applications resembling Netsuite, SAP, Servicen and Workday.
Michel Tricot, co -founder and general director of Airbyte, said that the great thing about these new functions lies in the incontrovertible fact that they provide enterprises additional ways of separation and use of their internal data, including in the case of AI applications. He also continued an alternative to AI services, which may expose customers to exposing their data to third parties.
“Fortune 500s, such as Airbyte, because they can have the flexibility and performance of the tool, a piece of infrastructure, but also have full control over where the data move and from which system,” said Tricot. “They are the only ones who actually look at the pipes. No one else can look at the pipes next to it[s] their.”
Tricot added that because Airbyte customers have full visibility in these data pipelines, they’ll enter and delete confidential knowledge, as did information about employees’ compensation from data before they reach the final destination.
“One thing I like to say is that don’t give your intelligence data,” said Tricot. “It’s bad trade. I think that many directors and companies are aware of it. There is so much noise, oh, I don’t want it [AI model] have access to my data during a conversation with [model]And it makes sense, because now people just put their most confidential data for this system. So we want to make sure it is protected inside […] their infrastructure. “
Tricot believes that Iceberg’s support is one of the essential attractions of the new set of company functions. He said that Iceberg gives companies the opportunity to transfer data to Data Lakehouse, creating one “source of truth” that works with many applications.
“[Iceberg is] Compatible with databicks, it is compatible with Bitquery, is compatible with snow, and is compatible with new AI applications – said Tricot. “So it’s really compatible with this portable pattern.”
Airbyte was founded in 2020 by Tricot and Jean Lafleur, operational director of the company. Airbyte has over 7,000 business clients, including monday.com, Invesco and Calenly and about 250,000 installations. The startup collected over 181 million dollars of increased risk from companies resembling Coatue, ACCEL and Benchmark, among others.
