“Every programming company is now AI,” says Avlok Kohli, general director of Angellist

“The enthusiasm in AI actually transfers to everything that effectively affects all startups,” said the general director of Angellist Avlok Kohli Asked if investors remain so excited about emerging startups outside of artificial intelligence. According to Kohla, AI startups constitute almost 40% of startups on the Angellist platform.

Today, at the capital, Mary Ann Azevedo met Kohla to debate how Angellist has evolved her model – from SPV to cooperation with larger funds, how AI transforms the startup landscape and what the founders must do to develop on today’s market.

Delving into the expansion of Angellist over the past six years, Kohli emphasized that the company is building its activity in the field of Back Office and Fund management, and now focuses on the office’s website with a recent intelligence tool, Fin. The reasoning agent has access to the private market data and is integrated with anonymized data from Angel Angellist. According to Kohla, FIN can answer the questions: “What is the median valuation for the company in the last month?” or “What percentage of investments enter AI compared to companies outside AI?” He added that users can run these questions in real time, gaining immediate access to invaluable information.
