Where did the idea come from?
I have artistic origin and I have business experience. And when I worked as an artist, I noticed that so many artists lived a concert. Many couldn’t earn enough money and needed to quit smoking. So we said, what if we could create a business model that helped artists remain artists? It was a whole impulse. Let’s provide artists with a platform that can bring the variety of work. They do what they are good at and we perform all business activities for them.

As an artist, how does he focus on the business part?
For several years I worked in investment banking in corporate funds before I made a decision to attempt to be an artist. So I took part in acting classes, dance classes, produced a document, planned weddings. I had several types of experience and in a sense I brought every thing to create it.

What was your breakthrough moment?
At the starting we actually thought that influential people would use us, and some yes, but we are not gaining the pace we wanted. Only until we checked the session in Hoboken, we actually got here to the proven fact that they were all families. We realized that we often take pictures on vacation, so it was great for them. In one weekend we finished taking photos of fifty families. It was so crazy. Then we know, it is like a real need and a desire for family portraits. We began to attack districts with many children and public parks, which were comfortable for parents. We began to advertise very specifically to moms and we realized that this is our goal demographic group.

What was your development?
In the first yr we earned around $ 80,000. In the fifth yr we hit Breeeven. And then the following yr, i.e. 2024, we had $ 10 million of the highest line and nearly a million profitability. So 20x we have been our profitability. It just shocked us. We thought: “Oh, we didn’t know we could do it!” We began with three of us, and now we have 12 full -time people and five part -time people. We are in 60 cities in the USA, working with about 750 photographers.

How to build your photographer network?
We have a reference program with our photographers. And we reach all platforms on which photographers are looking for a job. One of the biggest challenges we had was to teach photographers about our free photo session offer. Some assumed that we were cheating them. But we are very transparent as to how it really works, and in last yr our photographers reached on average from 166 to 199 USD per hour and do not have to do any business things. They just do what they love. So if you wish to earn extra money and you are a good photographer, it is easy.

What is your best advice for other owners of firms looking for this big impulse?
Try latest ideas and make them quickly. The lack of non-public taking the business is really crucial. It’s really prefer it is a strange meditation experience in which you retain what you serve and let go of what is not, and you do not get nervous about it. And every day it is the same process over and once more.

What is something that many people think that they need a company, but you do not actually need?
I think many people wish to feel confident and very confident before they begin. I saw how many people really got stuck in their very own heads, and you only never wish to be in this energy. You wish to have a hypothesis and test it. Just attempt to do things. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes at all. I think many people say: “And if I do it wrong?” I do not even think about it. I say: “Let’s try it. Let’s try it. You want to have a mentality of experiments. Try a small scale and don’t think.

Do you have a mantra or quote that helps you inspire you in difficult times?
I didn’t even realize that I did it, my co -founder pointed to it. I will work and start whispering: “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can” A small engine that might. You know, sometimes things seem very overwhelming, but you have to go on!
