Is your small company really ready to accept AI?

Opinions expressed by entrepreneurs’ colleagues are their very own.

Ai jumps out of laboratories in 2022 and so far almost everyone has heard about it. AI has also progressed in the last three years. Experts said that in a few years AI would affect all the things, from healthcare to brainstorming and more. They also stated that we are entering an era that will affect humanity prefer it.

If you do not employ artificial intelligence in your company soon, chances are you’ll not find a way to compete. But how do you begin? The following case study concerns my experience in the installation of artificial intelligence in a small company. The goal of the project is to increase the company’s value so that it might probably sell. We decided to hire AI to achieve this.

A classic case of treating the company’s ownership as a work

The company is a small production company. It is a third generation company and has a good brand and status.

The company owner has been working nights in warehouse processing orders for 40 years. He believes that he is the only one who can deal with this function because it is so complicated. There are often problems.

There is a key worker who has been in the company for 15 years, who takes control when the owner sets out on vacation.

Our first task was to get the owner out of the warehouse, transfer this work to a key worker and perform the function of the owner as CEO.

The owner was reluctant to do so because he thought he could lose his income. He finally decided in the fifth month of the project.

Adaptation period

After the nights of labor in a warehouse, the owner needed time to adapt not only to his sleep, but also to let go of his former work. We lost a lot of time employing artificial intelligence in the company. However, getting the owner out of the warehouse was a huge factor in the motion.

The owner wanted to start his company with order processing, because it was apparently the important flow of labor in the company, and he was afraid that another person took over after a 40-year term.

Inventory control is the important function in this business. Because the product breaks down, it must enter and get out of wrestling as soon as possible. Thus, the company concluded a contract with a third party to handle the inventory control about three years before commitment. We immediately developed a dialogue with the third side and they were very cooperating. However, the important contact left the company and there have been rumors that the company was in trouble, so we suspend the processing of orders until we are sure that the third page will remain in the business.

Great pivot

Soon in this model of maintenance we decided to change marketing so that we could move on. If the owner weren’t so persistent in the requirement of order processing as the first AI employment, we’d start with marketing.

Over 90% of corporations employing artificial intelligence start with marketing. It is fast and easy implementation, and good monitoring using CHATGPT can have a huge impact on most of the functions without the need for automation. It is also a delicate way to present artificial intelligence to employees. They see it in motion without threatening their work.

The first thing we had AI was to develop a marketing plan especially for a small wholesale production company. The plan was initially focused on the basis of shoppers, and the first task was to develop a customer survey to determine their feelings about the products and services they received, in addition to their needs and needs.

Another huge problem

We immediately encountered the problem. The company has never marketed. For 80 years of activity, they have about 200 customers. Therefore, they do not have CRM with the crucial information to send the survey. They had different lists of various functions that had different contacts and often the lack of e -mail address – and often the contact that they had was not a decision -maker.

Two administrative people were assigned to the development of CRM, and they did it in their free time. Finally, the owner employed an experienced marketing freelancer that will help in CRM and proceed marketing activities.

Perhaps we are going to have to re -track the survey to non -registers several times before we receive a statistically essential variety of respondents for data evaluation. We will develop a detailed marketing plan based on the results of the survey evaluation.

Rumors about the financial problems of the third page turned out to be false, and when the marketing plan works efficiently, we are going to return to the use of AI to the flow of order processing work.

We will even proceed to talk to the owner to obtain data for a training bot and a bottle of customer support.

What we have learned

Take -out this case study is essentially a lack of preparation for AI employment. But it wasn’t the owner’s fault. He didn’t expect AI. It was also an extraordinary situation in which the owner worked in a warehouse for 40 years, and the company never marketed. This is an exaggerated example of the owner working in the company, not in the company. Were it not for the desire to make his company a valued resource on the market, we’d not make the progress we made.

Preparation for artificial intelligence is mainly creating an environment that makes the employment of artificial intelligence fast and trouble -free. The staff’s attitude is crucial, as is the documentation of the company’s work flows that will probably be included in AID.

Understanding the importance of preparing for artificial intelligence could be essential between success and failure in perhaps the most vital business decision you’ll ever make.
