The third Betaworks fund ends at USD 66 million for investments at an early stage of AI start-ups

Fund III will try to take a position in at least 25 pre -investment seeds, in addition to make at least 50 investments in startups under the Betaworks Camp program. “We have done about 37 offers so far,” said Crook, adding that the average size of the check was about USD 500,000.

Crook called the current environment of obtaining funds “foaming” for startups and “Spiky” for funds, but noticed that Fund III saw how many previous partners with limited partners returned to investing.

“The environment of obtaining funds in Venture was a challenge in 2024 and we were not released, considering that we were raising our fund,” she said.
