Few tech industry figures have gained the famous status of Vinod Khosla, founder and partner at Khosla Ventures. It has been at the heart of Silicon Valley for over 40 years, building or supporting some of the largest and most influential technology corporations. His profession dates back to his founding days at Sun Microsystems and spans many years of enterprise investing. Today, Khosli’s firm is known for its holdings in corporations corresponding to Affirm, Block, DoorDash, GitLab, Okta, and Opendoor, to name just a few of its tons of of successful portfolio corporations.
He is currently at the heart of OpenAI as one of the first VCs to back the company, writing a $50 million check in 2019, years before ChatGPT captured the world’s attention.
