Why our screens are the programming of the Dysfunction Society

Why our screens are the programming of the Dysfunction Society

Opinions expressed by entrepreneurs’ colleagues are their very own.

Once upon a time, we had trade standards, transmitting codes, a supervisory body and content for content that protected public opinion against the most toxic media elements. There was a time when society agreed, even if quietly, on a line that mustn’t be crossed.

This time is Unfortunately, it disappeared.

Today, regardless of whether you are scrolling social media, send the latest series “TOP 10”, and even watch trailers before a family film, you can find violence, drug abuse, hypersexualization, profanity and corruption-with pride sold as entertainment.

There is no real moderation for our good, but height. In the digital world there are no ofcom, no regulatory bodies at the gate, only mass feeding algorithms what’s going to get the most clicks, regardless of the costs of our collective mental health or a moral compass.

And here is the truth that we do not wish to admit: We program into dysfunction.

Rotten the core of “free” media culture

It is easy to point fingers to growing crime, mental health problems or social disconnection. But we do not ask a deeper query: what do we feed our minds every day?

What do we say to ourselves that it is “normal”, “cool” or “acceptable” – when we get drunk, shows glorifying murders, abuse, emotional manipulations, trauma cycles and explicit psychopathy?

Turn on Netflix. Scroll Tiktok. Watch most of the series first. You will see what I mean.

We lost the critical truth from the eyes: We are what we eat and what we eat, we turn into.

The study after the study confirms this

Research from American Psychological Association i Journal of Behavioural Addations will be seen Direct correlation between exposure to violent or harmful media and desensitization, aggression, anxiety, emotional numbness and even cognitive changes.

Study 2023 conducted by the Stanford University showed that teenagers exposed to high content or high content of violence are 63% more willing to mimic these behaviors in their real relationships.

This is not a theory. These are data.

And it isn’t just children – it is also us. Adults. Leaders. Voters. Entrepreneurs. Parents. We turn into what we watch. And what we observe, what we feed masses … is poisonous spiritually and socially.

Why are we continuing?

This is a query that no one asks – and possibly the most significant of all.

Why are we so hooked on destroying our own foundations? Why do we praise chaos and trauma as a culture? Why do we recommend every household with content that break down unity, connection, peace and emotional intelligence as a substitute of building them?

We wouldn’t pour the poison into our own water supply.

So why do we do it with the media?

Time for the content that increases – does not destroy

Just like the work I have done over the last decade through my media company, the mission is clear: creating a television and a film that reflects the power and purpose of the story from the Nineteen Eighties and Nineteen Nineties – the time in which the content helped in shaping Society for the Better.

Then our screens connected us. They offered lessons, values, aspirations and imagination. They gave us heroes, not only anti -heroes. The stories that made them dream of made us care and – more importantly – made us grow.

Programs like Happy days He gave us nostalgia, comfort and image of unity. Friends He created a sense of belonging to hundreds of thousands around the world, showing the value of a compact relationship and emotional openness. AND MTV Not only did he present music – he fueled culture, fashion, politics and identity. It was greater than programs; These were movements. They shaped the generations saw each other and each other.

And it isn’t just a coincidence. His Well documented Agencies akin to the CIA used television and media in the twentieth century as powerful psychological tools – they subtly shape public perception, patriotism and ideology by telling stories. If the media will be used to manage and affect the global scale for political and military programs, they’ll actually be used to enlightenment, strengthen and lift.

Thanks to my work, I attempted to assume this sort of programming again – content that not only fills the time or clicks of the commercial, but builds character, inspires conversation and raises our collective consciousness. I’m not going to lie; It is often a hill with networks and publishers who are chasing the numbers, not our future. Unfortunately, this results in our own death (and sarcastically, in turn a decrease in numbers).

We need media that remind us of who we are and who we are.

Content is greater than entertainment-is education, influence and culture of culture. And if we do not seriously, we’ll proceed to slide into the timetable, which claims that we are outraged.

Earlier we shaped our minds by the media; This time we have to do it for good.
